New Life Story

At the heart of New Life Community is a simple, powerful promise—God still sets people free. As Leonard Ravenhill declared, “Jesus did not come into the world to make bad men good. He came into the world to make dead men live!” That is our story and our mission. In Christ, chainsare broken, hearts are restored, and lives are made new. God is still raising the broken to lifeand leading people from bondage into lasting freedom—together.

Director

Nolan Crooks

Nolan's story is one of grace, redemption, and a God who never gives up.

He gave his heart to the Lord at a young age, but like many, found himself running from Godand eventually lost in years of addiction. What felt like a dead end became a divineappointment when Nolan entered Teen Challenge of Southern California in 2012. There, he wasrescued, restored, and set free, not just from addiction, but into a life of purpose.

Out of that transformation, a calling to reach the lost and addicted was born while attending theTeen Challenge Ministry Institute in 2013. Nolan has been on staff with Teen Challenge ofSouthern California since 2014, he currently serves as Director of Communications, and is anordained minister with the Assemblies of God. He also contributed to the development of theNew Life Community curriculum, helping equip churches and ministries to reach and rescuethose bound in addiction and brokenness and help them find freedom and hope in Christ.

Today, Nolan serves as the New Life Community Director at Access Church, passionate abouthelping others find the same freedom and new life he experienced. He is blessed to share lifewith his wife and their two wonderful children.
