Learn How we are fulfilling our Mission in Fresno and Beyond.
In 1956, Pastors Tommy and Lola Fuller stepped out in simple but bold faith, planting a church on the northeast side of Fresno. With little more than a handful of people, a deep conviction in their hearts, and a passion for the gospel, Northeast Assembly of God was born. What started as a humble gathering quickly became a Spirit-filled community—marked by prayer, worship, and a desire to see lives transformed by Jesus.
Through the decades, the church grew—one soul, one family, one generation at a time. God’s faithfulness was evident at every turn. The church became a place where countless lives have been impacted with the one thing that can change a person's life more than anything else, the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Now, after nearly seventy years of ministry, that same spirit of faith still drives us forward. Today, we are known as Access Church—a name that reflects our vision to help people find their people, place, and purpose as they follow Jesus. While our name has changed, our mission remains the same: to be a Spirit-filled church that connects people to God and to each other. From a small beginning to a growing, vibrant family of faith, the story of this church has always been written by the hand of God. And we believe the best chapters are still ahead.

Life isn’t meant to be lived alone. At Access, we’re all about building authentic relationships and real community. We want to help you find your people—friends who will walk with you, encourage you, and grow with you as you follow Jesus.
You were made to grow. At Access, finding your place means more than just fitting in. It’s about discovering where God is calling you to deepen your faith, use your gifts, and walk alongside others as you grow in your journey with Jesus.
You were created on purpose, for a purpose. At Access, we believe God has placed unique gifts, passions, and callings in each of us. We want to help you discover how you can live out your purpose both here and in our community.
Jesus is the center of everything we do. He’s our foundation, our focus, and the reason we exist. As a church, we seek to know Him, follow Him, and make Him known in all we do.
We believe there is only One True God—revealed in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, commonly known together as the Trinity. (Deut 6:4; Isa 43:10,11)
We believe as God’s Son, Jesus was both human and divine and died to pay the penalty for our sins. He physically rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will one day physically return. (John 3:16-17; Phil 2:6-11)
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. All believers receive the Holy Spirit when they are spiritually born again. The Holy Spirit equips believers with spiritual gifts in service to one another. (Acts 1:8; 1 Cor 12)
Man’s only hope of redemption is through faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is received through repentance from sin and faith in the Lord Jesus. (Rom 10:9; Eph 2:8-9)
We believe water baptism is a public declaration of the decision we make to follow Jesus Christ. It is available to all and commanded in the Bible as part of the great commission. (Matt 3:16; 28:19)
We believe the Church is made up of those who trust in Jesus. Through His death and resurrection, we’re made right with God and called to live out His love, grow in faith, and share His hope with the world. (Eph 1:22-23; 1 Cor 12:27)
We believe Heaven and Hell are real places and we have access to Heaven through the salvation that Jesus Christ supplies. Heaven is God’s eternal dwelling, where believers will live forever in His presence. (Rev 21:4; Phil 3:20)
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is the final authority for what we believe and how we live. It reveals who God is, shows us the way of salvation, and equips us to follow Jesus. (2 Tim 3:16-17; Josh 1:8)

Kyle and Mattie Sawyer moved to California six years ago, following God’s call to serve and make a difference in people’s lives. In February 2024, they became the Lead Pastors of what was then Northeast Assembly of God — now Access Church.
They share a deep passion to see the Central Valley — and beyond — reached with the life-transforming message of Jesus. Together, they believe in investing in the next generation, while honoring and learning from the wisdom of those who have gone before.
Their heart is to see Access Church become a place where everyone can find and follow Jesus for their whole life — a vibrant, authentic community marked by faith, hope, and belonging.
